  1. Mutton     ½    Kg
  2. Turmeric Powder     ½    tsp
  3. Coriander Powder     1    tbsp
  4. Salt to taste     ½    tsp
  5. Oil     3    tbsp
  6. To be ground to a paste
    1. Small Onion / Shallot      1    cups
    2. Garlic      10    cloves
    3. Ginger      1    pieces
    4. Green Chillies      3    nos.
    5. Mint Leaves(Pudina)      ½    cup
    6. Peppercorns      1    tbsp


  1. Grind the shallots along with garlic,ginger, green chillies,peppercorns and mint leaves to a fine paste.
  2. apply this paste along with rest of the ingredients on the mutton. Keep aside for 15 minutes.
  3. Cover and cook on low heat till the mutton is cooked through.
  4. Heat oil in a pan. When the oil is hot, tip in the mutton along with gravy, if any into the pan.
  5. Fry till the mutton turns a shade darker.
  6. Serve hot with rice or roti.
